Travel brand builds a daypack and organizer platform for low-risk seasonal color updates

A two-product textile program reduced trim variation, documented loading plans and separated stable construction from seasonal color decisions.

Program brief

The buyer wanted a compact daypack and a tech organizer that looked related without making them from identical materials. Initial samples used six zipper finishes, four webbing widths and unrelated label positions.

Approach

We reduced the trim set, aligned the black hardware references and created a common exterior label rule. The organizer kept a lighter lining for visibility while the pack used a more durable back-panel fabric. Seasonal color changes were isolated to shell fabric, zipper tape and one printed packaging band.

Loaded samples were photographed with representative objects. Those photographs became part of the internal review and final packing references, reducing ambiguity about elastic placement and pocket capacity.

Result

The launch used fewer unique trims and a clearer repeat-order specification. The buyer can now update one seasonal shell color without reopening the stable construction and hardware decisions.
